Elegant Mercedes-Benz
The S400 Hybrid uses what Mercedes calls a "mild hybrid" system, with a 20 horsepower electric motor fed by a lithium-ion battery. Mercedes anticipates an EPA highway fuel economy rating of 29 MPG, 7 MPG better than the S550.
